Questions & answers

Short answers first. Prices and the phone number come from the same place as the rest of the site, so they match. Last checked October 25, 2026.

Visits and prices

Do you come to my home?

Yes. We come to you in Spring Hill, Brooksville and the rest of Hernando, Pasco and Citrus County. There is no travel fee. We fix it at your kitchen table, not at a shop counter.

How much does it cost?

You hear the price before any work starts, and nothing happens without your yes. Visits start from $79 for a scam and safety check, $89 for phone and tablet repair, $99 for computer help and $129 for home Wi-Fi. Prices that say "from" are where most visits start; the exact price is confirmed first.

How do I book?

Call or text (352) 549-6508, or use online booking. Online times run Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm. Call or text and we will find a time that works.

What if I need to change or cancel a visit?

Call or text as early as you can and we will reschedule. See our terms for the details.

Who will be at my door?

Home Base is a small, local, veteran-owned business. The person who answers the phone is the person who comes to your home.

What should I have ready for a visit?

The device that is giving you trouble, its charger, and a note of any error message you saw. For Wi-Fi, know where your router is. Please do not text us passwords. We will show you how to handle them safely when we are there.

Is there a discount for a first visit?

your first visit. Opening offer. Good through December 31. Just mention it when you call or text.

What we fix

What do you fix?

Phones and tablets, Windows PCs, iPhone, iPad and Mac help, home Wi-Fi and dead spots, wireless cameras and video doorbells, smart home setup, and scam and safety checks.

Do you install wired cameras?

No. We set up wireless cameras and doorbells, battery-powered and plug-in, on your Wi-Fi and phone. We do not run wires or do in-wall work.

Scams and safety

I think I got scammed, or a message looks fake. What should I do?

Do not click the link and do not call the number in the message. Text us a screenshot at (352) 549-6508 and we will tell you if it looks real. If you already gave out a password or paid someone, call us and we will help lock down your accounts. Report the scam to your bank right away.

Wi-Fi and health

Is home Wi-Fi safe?

Health agencies say they have found no evidence that Wi-Fi in the home harms people. The UK Health Security Agency says there is no consistent evidence that radio signals from Wi-Fi devices harm the health of the general population, and that a typical router or device sends about 0.1 watt. The World Health Organization says that "no adverse health effect has been causally linked with exposure to wireless technologies." This is general information, not medical advice. If you have a question about your own health, ask your doctor.

Does it matter where my router sits?

Yes, for speed more than anything else. Walls, floors, cabinets and furniture all weaken the signal, and it fades quickly as you move away from the router. A router out in the open, in the middle of the house and off the floor, usually reaches more rooms. We check this on every Wi-Fi visit and tell you what we measured.
